Dmitry Shagin - artist, writer, musician - was born in 1957 in Leningrad, former Soviet Union. He is creator and invariable leader of the famous MITKI Art Group, which became art movement around the world. Dmitry Shagin has laureate of numerous prizes and awards. His paintings are in the collections of the State Russian Museum, Tretyakovskaya Gallery, State Museum of History of St. Petersburg, and other privet and state museums.


Dmitry Shagin is Chairman of the Trustee Board and a member of the Board of Directors of the House of Hope on the Hill - alcoholism treatment rehab near St. Petersburg, Russia. Belongs to the Russian Orthodox Church, he participated in numerous pilgrimage tours of Holy Places. Married, with three daughters. Recently has celebrated his 50th birthday.
Resident of St. Petersburg, Russia.
